Subsea Pipeline Connector

Subsea pipeline connectors are required for all offshore pipelines using jointed tower construction.  Onsite buttwelds provide the historic method for making subsea pipeline connections.  They take a lot of critical path time, and therefore expensive.  The optimum subsea pipeline connector would be quick to make up, fully preload, and tested quickly with no damage to the coatings.
